Kenji Uchino

Kenji Uchino, the pioneer in “piezoelectric actuators”, was Director of International Center for Actuators and Transducers, and is currently Academy Professor of EE at The Pennsylvania State University. He was President of Micromechatronics, PA and also Navy Ambassador to Japan from US Office of Naval Research. Uchino received Ph. D. degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, then became Research Associate at this university (1976). He joined Sophia University, Japan as Associate Professor (1985), then was recruited from The Penn State in 1991. Uchino is a Life Fellow of American Ceramic Society, IEEE, and Int’l Assoc. Adv. Mater. and also a recipient of 34 awards, including Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE UFFC Society, International Ceramic Award from Global Academy of Ceramics, IEEE-UFFC Ferroelectrics Recognition Award. He has authored 582 papers, 87 books and 33 patents in the ceramic actuator area, leading to his h-index 82

Nedim Suljic

Professor Suljic submitted his doctoral dissertation entitled "Geotechnical conditions for planning and designing modern waste landfills" at the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Civil Engineering of the University of Tuzla. During 2006, he stayed at the Technical University in Stuttgart and at the Institute of Umweltwirtschaft Stuttgart, for the necessary research related to the preparation of his doctoral dissertation (base closure, leachate, landfill slope stability, final surface closure of the landfill). From the election to the title of assistant professor to the election to the title of associate professor, he participated in 45 commissions for the defense of graduate theses, in 21 commissions as a candidate's mentor. From the election to the title of associate professor until today, he participated in 48 commissions for the defense of graduate theses, in 21 commissions as a candidate's mentor. Since his election to the title of associate professor, he has participated in 27 commissions for the defense of master's theses, and in 20 commissions as a mentor of candidates for the defense of master's theses. To date, he has mentored six candidates for the preparation and defense of doctoral dissertations, three of whom defended their doctoral theses. He was a member of the commission and president of the commission for the defense of doctoral theses for seven candidates at the University of Tuzla and the University of Bihać.

Jinde Cao

Jinde Cao (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in mathematics from Anhui Normal University, Wuhu, China in 1986, the M.S. degree from Yunnan University, Kunming, China, and the Ph.D. degree from Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, both in applied mathematics, 1989, and 1998, respectively. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Automation and Computer-Aided Engineering, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China from 2001 to 2002. Professor Cao is an Endowed Chair Professor, the Dean of Science Department and the Director of the Research Center for Complex Systems and Network Sciences at Southeast University (SEU). He is also the Director of the National Center for Applied Mathematics at SEU-Jiangsu of China and the Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Networked Collective Intelligence of China. He is also Honorable Professor of Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling, Almaty, Kazakhstan. Prof. Cao was a recipient of the National Innovation Award of China, IETI Annual Scientific Award, Obada Prize and the Highly Cited Researcher Award in Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics by Clarivate Analytics. He is elected as a member of Russian Academy of Sciences, a member of the Academia Europaea (Academy of Europe), a member of Russian Academy of Engineering, a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, a member of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, a fellow of African Academy of Sciences, and a fellow of Pakistan Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Vasudeva Singh Educated (B.Sc, M.Sc, Ph.D) from the University of Mysore, Mysore, Karnataka, South India. Served CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore, Karnataka, India, for about 34 years, raised to the level of Chief Scientist, retired in 2013 as HOD of Grain Science & Technology Dept. Served as an Emeritus Medical Scientist (ICMR), at Food Sci. & Nutrition Dept, University of Mysore, Mysore, where handled a project of ICMR, and produced a Ph.D from this Project. Taught students of M.Sc Food Sci. and Nutrition, along with research guidance to them from 2014 to 2017. Published around 85 research papers in Peer reviewed National and International journals, Inventor of several food technology processes, which are readily available for commercial exploitation, at CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore; Inventor of a National and an International patent. The Indian Patent was made into a Process and Commercialized to around 30 Food Industries as on March 2019. Handled several National & International projects.

Prof. Hanshen Li received his B.S.E. degree in Electric Power Engineering and Automation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China, and the M.E. degree in Information, Production and Systems Engineering from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, and M.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from SJTU, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in North China Electric Power University (NCEPU), Beijing, China. Prof. Li has been a researcher at China Electric Power Planning and Engineering Institute (EPPEI) since 2023. His research interests include planning and operation of active distribution networks, where Li has published 50+ papers with over 200 total citations. He has been an editorial board of Journal of Energy Science and Technology since 2023, and also member of IEEE, IEEJ, CSEE and CES.

Assoc. Prof. Xianguang Yang received his Bachelor' s degree in Optics from Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU) in 2012, and completed his Doctorate in Optical Engineering with the theoretical and experimental combination of nanowire and nanoparticle photonics at the State Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Materials and Technologies affiliated with SYSU in 2016 under the guidance of Prof. Baojun Li (Changjiang Scholar). He received National Postgraduate Scholarship in 2016. He became an Assistant Professor of the Institute of Nanophotonics at the Jinan University in 2016 and became an Assistant to the Dean since 2018, then promoted to Associate Professor in 2019. He has mentored 3 MS students. His main research interests include photonics, plasmonics, nano-optics, detectors, optoelectronics, which were supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Dr. Yang has published 1 chapter of Book PLASMONICS, and 20 peer-reviewed journal publications, such as ACS Nano, ACS Photonics, Nanophotonics, Nanoscale, and etc. He has been an Editorial Board Member of Optics in 2018 and to be a member for RSC Advances Reviewer Panel since 2020. He is a member of American Chemical Society (ACS), Optical Society of America (OSA), Chinese Optical Society (COS), Guest Editor of Frontiers in Materials and Chinese Society for Optical Engineering (CSOE).
