Prof. Hanshen Li received his B.S.E. degree in Electric Power Engineering and Automation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China, and the M.E. degree in Information, Production and Systems Engineering from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, and M.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from SJTU, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in North China Electric Power University (NCEPU), Beijing, China. Prof. Li has been a researcher at China Electric Power Planning and Engineering Institute (EPPEI) since 2023. His research interests include planning and operation of active distribution networks, where Li has published 50+ papers with over 200 total citations. Tongyuan Wang

Tongyuan Wang, Ph. D, M. Sc., M. E., M. A., has studied and worked in multi fields. He got his first degree in civil engineering, then a Master in engineering management, both at Chongqing University of China in 1980s. He then worked in that university as a lecturer, and as an economist in a provincial urban development company. Upon becoming a vice professor, he moved to Canada, where he obtained a M. A. in economics, and then he switched to computer science from Graduate Diploma to Master and Ph. D degrees, all at Concordia University by 2010. After graduation, he did not continue teaching career due to a convention there that a new Ph. D holder may starts as assistant profession without a care of previous work experience. He then works for startup company to date. During the course, he still keeps academic and industrial research. His main research interests include pattern mining and sustainable development studies. In pattern mining, his recently published work has been evaluated by Altmetric as “the 1st percentile (ranked 1st) of the 1 tracked articles of a similar age in International Journal of Data Science and Analytics.” In sustainable development, his published work as abstracted above has been echoed with invitations of paper or as a speaker by dozens of international journals and conferences.
