Doctor Lazhar Zourgui, is Full professor in Gabes university Tunisia, set up a research team "Macromolecular and genetic biochemistry" at the University of Gafsa from 2005 to 2012, then he created a research laboratory at the University of Gabes, whom he has directed since 2014. Born August 01, 1956, in Bir lahmar-Tunisia, graduated with a PHD in Biochemistry in 1984 at the University of Bordeaux- France, and a Doctorat of Science in Biochemistry and molecular biology in 1988 at the University of Tunis-Tunisia. In 1987 to the present day, Professor Zourgui has ensured his role as a teacher and researcher in various universities, starting with the Paris-Sud University in Orsay, being a lecturer in 1987, at the Faculty of Medicine of Tripoli-Libya, as associate professor (1988- 2000), then he joined the University of Gafsa at the Faculty of Sciences of Gafsa-Tunisia, before moving to the Higher Institute of Applied Biology of Medenine at the University of Gabes –Tunisia. During all these years, Professor zourgui has been able to ensure several administrative tasks such as, head of department of Genie biology, master's coordinator, vice-dean of the faculty of sciences of Gafsa,director of the higher institute of applied biology of Medenine- Tunisia.
