
Bengi Sonyel completed her PhD in Teacher Education at the University of Nottingham (2010) and holds an M.A. in Professional Studies in Education from the University of Leicester (1997). She is currently an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education, where she specializes in Teacher Education and Training.Her scholarly work is situated within the fields of pedagogical training, in-service teacher education, interpersonal competencies, artificial intelligence, deep learning, educational instruction and technology, continuing professional development, reflective practice, qualitative research and research methods. She teaches a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and serves as the departmental coordinator for education programmes, contributing to curriculum design, implementation, quality assurance processes, educational technology and artificial intelligence. Dr. Bengi Sonyel is actively engaged in international scholarly publishing as a reviewer for several high-impact journals, including Discover Education, Teacher Education and Curriculum Studies, Education and Information Technologies, BMC Medical Education, Interactive Learning Environments, Frontiers in Medicine, and Journal of Teachers and Teaching: Theory and Practice. She has recently been appointed to the Editorial Board of Springer Nature, further underscoring her contribution to academic research and editorial practice in the field of education.

Yangfeng Ren received his M.S. degree from Yangtze University, China, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at China University of Petroleum (Beijing), China. He has co-authored more than five papers in reputable journals. He earned his B.Eng. in Computer Science and Technology, and his M.S./Ph.D. research focuses on intelligent and digital technologies for oil and gas applications. He has also accumulated nearly two years of on-site digital and intelligent engineering practice at the Petroleum Engineering Research Institute of Dagang Oilfield.
